John Austin Boyd: The Authoritative Website

This page is the authoritative website chronicling my family, career, interests, commentary and the like. This website was created to provide viewers with information about my family and me, outside the limited confines of social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc. I hope that the social networking sites eventually become a thing of the past and the internet society becomes ambitious enough to try their collective hands at making their own unique, creative web pages. It's far more interesting to learn about someone than to stalk their every comment and photo album on a networking site.

I am also creating the site to expand my technological understanding. I hope to incorporate programming into the site, and it may eventually be used as a platform to take advantage of the commercial opportunities available on the great World Wide Web.

Finally, and just as importantly, I am creating the site to let others know a bit more about myself. Ever since I was little, I wanted to create a sort of book or life commentary that would cover every aspect that is important to the human condition. I think that perhaps that book has already been written -- the Holy Bible -- so instead, I'll fill you in on various facets of my life and hopefully some day, the product is something of worth to my successors. My old man once told me (and I'm certain someone told him), "if it wasn't written, it didn't happen."

Newly updated content will appear in "What's New." While the menus will someday be functional, the design and content of the web site is not complete. MOST OF THE MENUS ARE NOT SIGNIFICANTLY FUNCTIONAL BEYOND THIS PAGE. Therefore, I recommend that you check out "What's New" until the website is otherwise fleshed out.
